I’d definitely recommend bringing a swimsuit if the weather is warm. It was so relaxing, even though it wasn’t warm enough to swim. We ordered some snacks from The Grill and threw some drinks in the cooler. They also have duffy boats, kayaks, paddle boards, water trikes, pedal boats and dock fishing! We rented a pontoon boat with friends and had such a fun time cruising around. Literally doesn’t get much better or more relaxing!Īmalfi Cucina is also an amazing restaurant on the lake – I definitely recommend ordering one of their pizzas and a drink to go for the room! In the mornings, it was so nice to wake up and relax by the fire with a coffee. They even have a water lights show at night you can watch from your patio or balcony! We loved ordering room service and eating on our patio – it had the most beautiful fire pit that looks out over the lake. The stay also includes free wi fi, parking & complimentary coffee!ĭuring your stay, you also get a s’mores kit, a bucket of golf balls at the driving range, discounted tee times and club rentals! Mark Golf Club fitness center & group exercise classes. You can also use the tennis courts & other amenities, use the St. The resort fee ($20) actually covers something! Every day, you can get a 1 hour kayak, stand up paddle board or beach cruiser bike rental. Meaning it’s not a party spot & you don’t have to worry about being kept up late or woken up early by noisy neighbors. One thing I really appreciated is that the hotel observes quiet hours from 10:00pm to 7:00am. And Doug lived his best life – lounging on the deck & partying on our pontoon! If you didn’t notice from my pics, it’s pet friendly! Dogs are allowed – which we obviously love (under 25lbs with a cleaning fee). They have a ton of holiday brunches and seasonal specials. If you live in Southern California – definitely check out their specials. Even though it’s a fairly large property, it feels cozy and welcoming. I love that it still has some retro vibes and feels kind of nostalgic. The hotel was originally built in the mid 60’s, but completely upgraded in 2013. If you want to take a trip off property – it’s located near a ton of breweries and restaurants too. It has a championship golf course, multiple restaurants, a full service marina with boat rentals, a pool and my favorite, hot tubs! It’s the perfect lakefront setting for unwinding with family, a romantic weekend, a fun girls trip or just a last minute getway. The resort is located on Lake San Marcos, in northern San Diego. It’s only about a 30 minute drive from us, but we instantly felt like we were transported to a luxe lakefront home (with tons of amenities). This past week, we reserved one of their Two Bedroom Cottages and took a little trip up north with our friends. So I didn’t get a chance to share much of our trip with you guys. We actually visited the Lakehouse Resort last year, but ended up leaving early because I got a cold. Mark your calendars, it’s time to take a trip to the Lakehouse Hotel & Resort in San Diego! Lakehouse Hotel & Resort in San Diego It’s a total hidden gem and the perfect spot for a local staycation or a weekend away. I’m so excited to share one of my new favorite vacation spots.
